To get you on the beach as soon as your house is ready, we request that you mail the balance of your rent 30 days in advance of your arrival. Personal checks accepted. Check-in: 3:00 pm.

We love our Island, and the families that we represent love their homes and the Island also. Because each home is owned by a different family, each cottage has its own style and unique furnishings. Please remember that while staying in one of our cottages, you must respect the cottage. Because all the cottages are different inside and out, if you have any specific needs [i.e., bed sizes, tubs or showers, phone, etc.] please bring this to our attention while making reservations, and we will try to accommodate your needs.

Summer:	June 1 - Aug. 26
Mid-Season:	Apr. 27 - June 3 & Aug. 24 - Sept. 30

Off-Season:	Sept. 28 - Apr. 27, 2002

Reservations: Once you have selected a house and it is available, we will send a contract to you that must be returned to us within 14 days with a 50% deposit. The advertised price includes final day maid service and a $25.00 administrative fee to cover guest services and administrative costs. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Tax: South Carolina law requires a 10% sales tax on all rentals less than 90 days and all related items such as linens, cribs and maid service.

Payment: We do not accept credit cards; however, we do accept cash, money orders and personal checks [no two party checks].

Linens: are not provided in any of our cottages. We do off a linen rental program for you convenience. please see details under rental items below.

Cancellations: Once the reservation has been made, if you must cancel, notify Pawleys Island Realty immediately. The deposit will be refunded minus a $25.00 service charge after the unit has been re-rented. If cancellation occurs within 14 days of arrival, tenant is responsible for full payment if not re-rented. Every effort will be made to re-rent the unit, but if it cannot be rented, the deposit will be forfeited. Transfers in the same house may be allowed up to 30 days prior to check-in, subject to owner approval.

Attention Renters! A $20.00 deposit made during your stay can hold your rental for the corresponding week in next year's season. Please remember to sign up during the week before you leave, because we cannot take your reservation on Saturdays. These reservations are tentative and subject to approval by the owners. The $20.00 deposit is refundable or transferable only if the unit is not available for the requested time period. If the owners approve the reservations, repeat vacationers with approved reservations will be sent a contract requesting the balance of the 50% deposit. You will be given two weeks to confirm your reservation with the deposit. If, after two weeks, the reservation has not been confirmed, the $20.00 deposit will be forfeited and the unit re-rented.

Check-in: After 3:00 pm. Do not go to the rental house until keys have been picked up at the office. All rentals change on Saturdays unless specified otherwise. Please notify us if you will be arriving after 5:00 pm.

Check-out: Before 10:00 am, please lock house and return the keys to the office. Do not leave keys in the house.

Cleaning: All rental prices include a final day clean up. You are responsible for daily up-keep of the accommodation. Before departing, wash all the dishes, take all trash and garbage to outside trash cans, lock up the accommodation securely and turn key into Pawleys Island Realty Office by 10:00 am. Place rented linens on roadside porch of rental house and they will be picked up.

Appliances: We cannot guarantee air conditioners or any appliances! No refunds are given for their failure, but we will have them repaired as quickly as possible.

Pets: Most houses do not allow pets. We reserve the right to terminate any rental without refund and impose a $250.00 fine if pets are found on premises not allowing pets.

We rent to family groups only: Should a house party occupy a unit, we reserve the right to terminate the rental without refund. This agency reserves the right to refund deposits, refuse rentals or discontinue occupancy if, in the agent's opinion, tenant is detrimental to the property.

Telephones: Not all units have telephones, but if yours does, please charge all calls to your credit card or to your home number. Do not direct dial or charge any calls to the rental unit. A $5.00 handling charge will be collected on any long distance calls charged to a rental house. Most homes have phone blocks, which also block computer Internet access. Call office for information on Internet access.

Messages and mail: If your unit does not have a phone, we will be glad to take messages and put them on the bulletin board located at the office. Mail can be sent to you in care of Pawleys Island Realty. Be sure to check for mail if you leave this address.

Rental Items: Call our office for linen rental information. We deliver and pick up linens from your house. For beach chairs, bicycles, cribs, high chairs, etc., call Beaches Rental Equipment at 800-516-9886. They will be glad to deliver items to your house and charge your credit card. For bicycle rentals, call Pawleys Beach Service at 237-4666. They also deliver, pick up and charge your credit card.

Grills: If you use a grill at the cottage, it must be kept away from the house, as this is a fire hazard. Absolutely no grilling on the wooden decks or porches.

House addresses: All our houses have red, white and blue Pawleys Island Realty rental signs. The houses have a town address, which is indicated in the brochure. It is also posted on the house.
