Pawleys Island is a small, non-commercial resort island, four miles long and a quarter of a mile wide, situated on the coast of South Carolina, twelve miles north of historic Georgetown and 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach. Pawleys Island is an historic resort catering to a relaxed family atmosphere. The accommodations on Pawleys vary greatly, some brand new and modern, others simple and rustic. Each offers its own charm and amenities. Please be sure to ask for the specifics. Most homes are available all year long. The spring and fall seasons are magnificent here and offer uncrowded beaches, great fishing and nature at its best.

Activities are practically unlimited: golfing, fishing, boating, sailing, nature trips, historic tours, shell gathering and river cruises. For "bright lights, etc., Myrtle Beach is approximately 20 miles to the north. There is an abundance of good restaurants in the immediate area, and the local stores offer a complete variety of food, drugstore, hardware, sporting goods and clothing.

Pawleys Island and Litchfield are known as family beaches. A quiet spot to enjoy time and the beach with your friends and family. High commercialization and late night partying can be found elsewhere. Here is a spot to relax and unwind.

Golf courses of every description populate our area. You could play a different course every day if you stayed the whole summer, and some of the courses are just awesome. Come and stay and play with us.

Pulling in the "big ones!" A variety of fishing opportunities is offered in our area from fishing from the banks to large group boats that take you to deep water. We have plenty of information available in our office. Fishing from a boat requires a fishing permit. The salt creeks are home to a variety of fish and blue crabs. Please do not eat the shellfish.

The spring and fall at Pawleys and Litchfield are wonderful for fishin', shrimpin', and crabbin'. They are also great times for finding a peaceful spot just for you.

Nature shares her beauty with us as we live here together with fowl and animal. The creeks especially are home to a variety of birds, animals and fauna. We enjoy the closeness to nature and learn to respect the needs of all.

You will be amazed and delighted by the quality of the local shops and restaurants. From fine dining to casual, the food is great and the shopping is unique. Murrells Inlet is known as the "Seafood Capital of the World." This fishing village offers a variety of restaurants, shops and chartered fishing boats. The seafood is good and plentiful here. It is a fun place to eat.

We live in an area rich in history starting with evidence of inhabitants before the discovery by Europeans. Take time to discover this history while you are here, and especially, try to see the existing plantation houses, wondrous remnants of a bygone era.

The Pawleys Island House of Worship is open from the first Sunday in June until Labor Day Sunday. This chapel has served families for years as an informal, nondenominational worship place. Services begin at 10:00 a.m.
